Voice platforms
Agency voice AI margin calculator
Agency voice AI margin is client revenue minus usage, support, and the platform fee. Break-even clients are the platform fee divided by the profit on one client. Owning the platform pays back when the lower per-minute cost plus the dropped platform fee cover the build. This calculator runs that math. It is a planning model, not a quote.
Enter client count, minutes, what you pay per minute, and what you charge. The result is monthly gross profit, the client count that covers a platform fee, and how long a build takes to beat reselling.

How the number is calculated
- Monthly revenue = clients × the monthly fee you charge. Setup fees are shown beside that number and are not inside the margin.
- Resell cost = clients × minutes × wholesale price per minute, plus clients × support hours × the loaded hourly cost, plus the platform fee.
- Gross margin = (revenue − resell cost) ÷ revenue.
- Break-even clients = platform fee ÷ (monthly fee − usage − support on one client), rounded up. If one client costs more to serve than they pay, there is no break-even.
- Monthly savings from owning the stack = the platform fee you drop + clients × minutes × (wholesale price − owned price). Payback months = build cost ÷ that savings. The owned price has to be lower, or the build does not pay back on cost.

Questions this calculator answers
What margin do agencies actually make reselling voice AI?+
There is no single margin. It is the gap between a flat monthly fee and a per-minute wholesale cost, after support time and the platform fee. At the starting example — 10 clients, 400 minutes, $0.13 a minute wholesale, a $497 fee — gross margin is about 64% before setup fees. A heavy caller, or a fee set too low, can erase that.
When does owning a voice platform beat reselling?+
When the per-minute savings plus the platform fee you stop paying cover the build in a period you can live with. The white-label article walks the three paths: resell, build on Vapi or Retell, or own the platform. This calculator is the arithmetic for that choice.
What should I use for wholesale and owned per-minute cost?+
Wholesale is the all-in minute you pay a reseller or a Vapi or Retell stack, often about $0.11 to $0.15. Owned is the same conversation on a stack you run, often near $0.07 when orchestration drops to about $0.01. The line items are in what an AI voice agent actually costs in 2026. Replace both with your invoices.
Is the build cost a KeenCraft price?+
No. The build field is the number you are comparing. KeenCraft prices a white-label platform as a fixed Statement of Work after a strategy call. A smaller first phase, such as client workspaces and usage metering, can start lower than a fully owned platform.
